Zimbabwe has emerged as continental champions by clinching victory in the 4x400m final at the African Senior Athletics Championships held in Accra, Ghana.
The final was postponed due to rain, but this did not discourage the Zimbabwean team.
Gerren Muwishi, Dennis Hove, Thandazani Ndhlovu, and Leeford Zuze dominated the competition, securing the win for Zimbabwe, finishing ahead of teams from Kenya and Morocco.
This victory adds to Zimbabwe’s medal tally, bringing their total to 4, an improvement from the 8 medals they secured in the previous championships.
